Eligibility Criteria for DAAD Scholarship 2024

  • Required languages: English or German.

  • Other programs are taught in German. Usually, you must provide a German language certificate such as DSH or TestDaF.

  • A signed letter of motivation, not exceeding two pages, indicating current position and choice of graduate programs.
  • Important: If you are applying for more than one postgraduate course (maximum 3), send only one letter of motivation explaining why you are applying for that specific course and what your preference is. What is this.
  • Letter of recommendation from current employer – on official letterhead, signature and date with official stamp (no sealed envelope attached)
  • Two years of relevant work experience (after obtaining a bachelor's degree) and, if applicable, a work certificate from the employer proving commitment to reemployment upon return home.

    • Letter of recommendation (not in the form of a stamped envelope) from your current employer with an official stamp on official letterhead and a current signature and date
    • Relevant work certificate from the employer, at least two years of work beyond the bachelor’s degree at the time of application, and if possible, guaranteed re-employment from the current employee.
